The Hopkins Area Fire Department was summoned to a vehicle crash near the corner of 135th Avenue and 12th Street in Hopkins Township Thursday evening. This vehicle struck a power pole and rolled over, and got tangled up lines. The motorist was not injured. Firefighters reported 135th Avenue was closed to traffic between 14th and 13th Streets until the wreck was cleaned up. With assistance from the Wayland Fire Department, the scene was cleared by about 9:30 p.m., but a number of neighboring residents were reporting they lost power.
