Rudolph Cernia age 91, of Dorr died Wednesday, Dec. 20.
Rudolph served in the United States Army during the Korean War and was a longtime member of the Dorr American Legion
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Mary; their children Joanne (David) Sokol, Diane (Daniel) DeCoster, Inez (Robert) Armbruster, Donald (Sherri) Cernia; grandchildren Amber, Ashley, Daniel, Caitlin, Nicholas, Cassidy, Joshua, Dylan, Julia, Kristin (Ken); great grandchildren Hunter and Terry; his sister Marija Cernia, sister-in-law Nada Cernia and nephew Zoran Cernia.
The family will receive relatives and friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 26, at the Kubiak-Cook Funeral Services, 4330 18th St., Dorr, with a rosary at 7 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 27, at St. Mary’s Visitation Parish, 2459 146th Ave., Byron Center. Burial will be at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
