The polls have closed and Simply Celia’s Bakery and Restaurant in downtown Wayland finished fourth in the MLive poll of bakeries in West Michigan. Ida’s of Jenison was the winner. “What an honor!” owner Celia Gleason said. “I owe this to our amazing staff and awesome customers who constantly guide me on this journey! I owe it to my friends for their amazing support! I owe it to my family, my brothers and sisters who would give me hourly updates and cheers, to my son, Michael, and husband, Virgil, who have not given up on me. And to my Mom who started all of this by giving me the amazing gift of baking and creativity!”
