Downtown Wayland MI
Downtown Wayland will be transformed into a festive Art Hop from 4:45 to 8:45 p.m. Friday, Dec. 3. The streets will be closed so guests may walk safely between venues. Artists will appear in various downtown businesses showcasing or selling their art. There also will be many free family friendly activities including horse and wagon rides, Dickens characters, strolling carolers, musicians an annual Christmas tree lighting, community carols.
The annual Christmas parade will step off at 11 a.m. the following day, Saturday, Dec. 4, starting from the Wayland VFW, marching north on Main Street to downtown. D.K. Sprague, retired chairman of the Gun Lake Tribe, will be grand marshal.
