Lady Wildcats capture 1st-ever district soccer championship

The girls defeated Grand Rapids Christian 2-1  in the finals after pulling out a double overtime 2-1 thriller over the host team Wednesday. Both opponents entered the matches with far superior overall records, rendering Wayland as a bonafide Cinderella team.
