Ranger Rick: Trump got a lot done as our president

The four years of the Donald Trump presidency is almost over.  Throughout the four years, he has been the driving force in getting things done, not just talking about it, like politicians usually approach challenges.

Let’s review his record of achievements – long and impressive:

– Cut taxes, which benefitted 85% of taxpayers, cut corporate tax rate, creating millions of jobs.

– Dow Jones when Trump took office was around 18,000.  When he leaves, 30,000.  Representing trillions of dollars of value.  Look at your 401K and thank President Trump and his administration.

– Revised the military after Obama and Biden drained it of resources.  $2 trillion to modernize the defense forces to defend liberty the world over.  Also created the Space Force.

– Regulatory excesses eliminated — 16 gone to every new one created.

– Though unable to get rid of Obamacare, he eliminated the onerous individual mandate provision.

– Cleaned up the Veterans Administration and made sure veterans were treated with first rate medical care.

– Nominated and confirmed three constitutionalist Supreme Court justices and 234 federal judges.

– Brought peace to the Middle East.

– Drastically cut illegal immigration across our southern border – 400-plus miles of fence constructed.

– Lowest unemployment level ever before the Communist Chinese Coronavirus hit.  Instead of keeping businesses open with masking and social distancing, many states (mostly Democrat led) shut down the states economies and kept them closed.  Now, amazingly, they are talking about opening up just when the virus has mutated and exploded in some areas.  Gov. Gretchen Whitmer, did Joey Biden call you to get Michigan opened?

– Embarrassed the NATO members to pay what they owed to the organization to support the defense of NATO members.  The political buffoons in the European countries finally saw the light when President Trump countered with possible withdrawal of troops from where they were stationed.  Pay up or get out of NATO.

– African-Americans, Mexican-Americans, women and all other minorities saw their wages rise exponentially compared to those at the top.  More people working than ever before at higher wages.

All presidents are egotistical narcissists.  Barack Obama couldn’t open his mouth without referencing how wonderful he was.  President Trump never mastered the bullshit artist style. He said it plain and didn’t pull his punches.  With an overtly hostile rabid media, opposing nut-filled Democrat party, his options were limited somewhat.  It is amazing he achieved as much for the American people as he did.

Thank you President Trump, well done and thank you for your efforts!

Now we have dementia Joe Biden and Marxist Kamala Harris to take the oath of office for President and Vice President of the United States.  More like the Split States of America.  The Democrats shouted from the rooftops about the Jan. 6 demonstration at the Capital,  the people’s house.  Most of what I viewed were some breaking glass and pushing their way into the capital.  Those people will or have been identified and will be prosecuted, as they should.

Anyone perpetrating breaking and entering and pillaging the offices of representative and senators will be charged.  But many of the folks I observed were walking around, not really doing much at all.  The young female veteran shot — who shot her and why haven’t they been identified and arrested?

The person(s) attacked a capital policeman with a fire extinguisher and he succumbed to the injury to his skull has been identified and arrested.  There were others suffering from other maladies that resulted in death as part of participating.

The Democrats are very selective in their rage.  Last summer when day after day, night after night in major cities — rioting, killing, raping, looting and burning buildings.  Not a peep from Democrats while cities were burning and citizens attacked.  The silence was deafening.

Republicans speaking out were labeled as racists and over-reacting.  Why was it that Republicans were the only ones speaking out against the rioting in Democrat-led cities?  Defunding police was discussed more than controlling the rioting.  Without law enforcement to enforce  laws, why are they there?

The country was established as a country of laws, freedom and liberty.  Now with Democrat leadership not taking a role in controlling lawlessness, at the federal, state and local arenas, the country will be out of control and people will take it upon themselves to defend their lives and property.  Count on it.

And if they are arrested instead of the people attacking them and their property, the rebellion will take shape and grow.  That is not my wish, as I am a peaceful person.  But all of us as Americans have rights.

I have two Democrat senators representing me in Washington D.C.  They have many people in the state of Michigan to represent and that includes many who didn’t vote for them.  They must realize they are representing all of Michigan, not just Democrats.  I have the feeling they only care about what happens in Washington D.C. and not Michigan, only when it is nearing election time.  Both parties do it, I’m not just picking on Democrats, but those two are Democrats.

For everyone’s sake, my hope is the inauguration goes on and there are no incidents either in Washington D.C. or any of the states.  I hope for the best, prepare for the worst, and pray nothing happens to President-elect Biden or Vice-President-elect Harris.

I will treat President Biden the same way the media treated President Trump… I promise.

The rotting of America from within continues in earnest…

  • Agree, 100%, well said, our nation is missing out on another 4 year of what could have been achieved. With your Dow market statement, what took 19 years of Dow gain (1997 to 2016) , Trump did it in 4 years.

  • Not well said! Trump will be remembered as the worst president in American history, period. Approval rating never went above 50%, first time in history. He is the ONLY president in American history to be impeached twice. He is the reason for our division among races and political lines across our country.
Your listed “accomplishments” are certainly debatable but let’s not look at the past any longer, as it is too divisive. Using President Joe Biden’s words, let’s unite and work together for our country, doing this, nothing is impossible.
I gave Trump a chance when elected (no, I didn’t vote for him), thinking maybe a businessman is what we need in the White House. WOW! Was I wrong about that. Trump’s presidency will be debated for eternity, but for the next two years, let’s all put our support behind this President and heal our wounds as the next threat may be much more difficult.

    • Mr. Clausen,
The worst president in U.S. history is Barack Hussein Obama. He bumped out Jimmy Carter from last place, so Jimmy isn’t the worst anymore!
Get over the orange man, he’s gone. From now on blame Dementia Joe for all the problems, he’s in charge now.

  • Trump came to office with an expanding economy. In the first three years of his presidency, the economy continued to grow, in part because of tax cuts that slashed the corporate tax rate by 40%. Trump promised that these cuts would be “rocket fuel for our economy,” but economic growth stayed at about 2.9%, the same as it had been in 2015, and more than 60% of the benefits from the cuts went to those at the top 20% of the economic ladder. Even before the pandemic, Trump’s economic policies were projected to add about $10 trillion to the national debt by 2025, an increase of more than 50%.
Both Mueller’s report and the report of the Republican-led Senate Intelligence Committee established that Russian operatives had interfered in the 2016 election to help Trump. They indicated that Trump campaign officials knew what the Russians were doing and were willing to accept their help. The Senate Intelligence Committee also noted that Trump’s campaign chair Paul Manafort gave sensitive internal information about the campaign to a Russian operative in Ukraine. Trump continued to call these allegations the “Russia hoax,” but observers noted that, for all his feuds with other leaders, he seemed oddly solicitous of Russian President Vladimir Putin.

  • This is embarrassingly delusional. You have no self-awareness and live in a counter-factual fantasy. No wonder you’re too scared to put your name behind your divisive fake news vitriol. Just go away along with your cult demagogue, please.

    • Oh Jakie, when gas gets to $4-5 per gal., don’t complain – you voted for it. When illegal immigrants take your job, don’t bitch – you voted for it. When the economy tanks because of excessive taxation and more regulations – you voted for it. You don’t like it one, two years from now – you voted for it!

      Marxism never, ever works!
      Cheers!

  • Ranger Rick,
Welcome to the cancel culture and Trump Derangement syndrome, apparently the two above, Mr. Gless and Mr. Clausen did not get the memo from President Biden on coming together and loving one another. They must have missed the riots from leftest last night in the north west burning looting and destroying property under President Biden, do we need to blame President Biden as folks did President Trump?

    • You RR, DTOM have got to be the poorest losers I have ever seen. Biden has been president for one and a half days.
The Trump riots were encouraged by Trump. Orange Man will be to blame for a long time. Again, you belittle Mr. Gless and Mr. Clausen because they do not think like almighty AB. Like I told you before, look in the mirror. You are not perfect, nor am I. You did not have the guts to comment.
Treat Biden like Trump? You being know you do not treat a rattlesnake like a grass snake!

      • Mr. Longstreet,
        Sir,
I hope all that hate keeps you warm at night. Calling President Biden a cutie little harmless snake is interesting. Antifa a leftist/socialist group attacking the Police and private businesses in three cites and burning and destroying is former President Trumps fault? Anything that goes wrong in the future is also his fault, you do honestly believe that I am sure, but it is sad, indeed sad.
As to my intestines being missing, I pen a column each and every week and have for over six years with thousands of comments some do not warrant a return comment.

  • They destroyed the Democrat Headquarters? And they chanted “F%k@ Biden!
Guess they missed President Biden’s address to the nation? OH, Oh Joe, this is on your watch … can’t blame orange man anymore!

  • it is all Trumpy’s fault. He told the Nazis to riot last night to hide his crimes. Blame Trumpy, not Biden, for everything.

  • Some people are truly amazing. Their hate for past President Trump will never go away. Be prepared for every little thing that happens in a negative way becoming president Trump’s fault.
Wake up, insurrection has a name. It is not Republicans or Democrats… it is the Communist Socialist movement. Why are so many so blind?

    • Massive ignorance of economics, human behavior, and results of bad government policies and regulations. The media lies constantly and only liberals are allowed to teach in public schools and colleges with revisionism history. You wonder why, look no further than Democrat initiatives. It will only get worse with dementia Joe and Marxist Kamala and the Squad.
