Delores Homan DeHamer, Wayland Christian Neighbors director for more than 15 years aince it became a non-profit, is retiring.
She will be succeeded by Aimee Parker VanTuinen, a longtime volunteer.
Christian Neighbors, a local food pantry located at 122 Church St., provides food weekly for needy area residents every Tuesday from 9 a.m. to noon and from 1 to 4 p.m. It has been providing the service since 2005.
Thank you Dolores De Hamer for your service to the people of Wayland and others. You people never get the pat on the back you deserve. Thank you Aimee VanTuinen for taking over .I will try to support you every way I can.
