Beer Bread is a quick bread with fun twist and choices

by Kathy Hamman Miller

Preheat oven to 350 degrees
Ingredients:
3 cups flour
1/4 cup sugar
1 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon baking powder
1 12 ounce bottle of beer room temperature.

(Have fun with this, as whatever beer you  choose will give it a different flavor. The  choices are endless!)

1 stick – 1/2 cup butter melted

In large bowl whisk together the dry ingredients. Stir in the room temperature beer to the dry ingredients until just mixed.

Pour 1/2 of the melted butter into the 9 by 5 loaf pan. Spoon the batter in and finish pouring the rest of the melted butter slowly over the top of the bread batter.

Bake for 50 to 60 minutes until golden brown and an inserted toothpick comes out clean. Serve immediately, as its best when served warm. And you guessed it, with a little more butter! Cheers!
