Two members of the Wayland girls’ varsity bowling team took part in the Junior Gold competition earlier this month in Indianapolis.

Senior Isabella Harnish and junior Kadence Bottrall represented the Wildcats and had to bowl 16 games over four days on sport compliant patterns.

This was Isabella’s first time competing at Junior Gold, she and did a fantastic job,” coach Eric Bottrall commented.

She finished in 315th place out of 560 of the best girls in the country. She averaged 160 for her 16 games.

“I had the opportunity to watch her at her last four games and can’t be more proud of her improvements over the past two years,” the coach added. “I can’t wait to see what Bella will do her senior year at Wayland.”

Kadence Bottrall finished 60th out of 560 ladies. She made it to the first Advancers Round and averaged 183 for the 21 games she bowled.

“These two ladies got to go duck pin bowling down in Indy. They got to play cards, go to the movies, see the zoo and shop at IKEA,” Bottrall said. “I know they will both walk away from this trip with great memories. But what I most want them both to know is that I’m so proud of each of their accomplishments this week!”
