Clippers improve record to 5-0 with another shutout

The Martin varsity football team returned home for the first time in almost a month and posted a 62-0 shutout over visiting Bloomingdale.The Clippers improved their record to 3-0 in the conference and 5-0 overall. Martin scored on two plays on its opening drive, returned an interception for a score, and continued to light up the scoreboard the rest of the night.

Martin has lost on the football field only twice since switching to eight-man football to start the 2019 season. Both losses were in the playoffs to the eventual state champion. The team has outscored its opponents 288 to 18 in its five games thus far this season.

The Clippers will go back on the road for their Week 6 contest Saturday when they travel to Eau Claire to take on the Beavers, with kickoff at noon.
