Martin High School senior Javier Guevara, son of Wayland teacher Laura Foster, is a member of the Delton/Martin soccer team that won the MHSAA Division 3 district championship Saturday with a 1-0 victory over Hillsdale. Also on the team are James Blackburn, a junior, whose parents, Caryn and Damon, are high school teachers in Martin. The other is a foreign exchange student Mel Baixas. It was the first district soccer title in the school’s history.
