John Krajewski has been hired as the new new principal at Hopkins Elementary School beginning Jan. 3, 2022.

He succeeds Scott VanBonn, who will now be serving the district as director of instruction.

Krajewski comes to Hopkins from Byron Center Public Schools, where he has served as Marshall Elementary principal, West Middle School principal, 504 coordinator, teacher, and basketball coach.

A spokesperson for the Hopkins district said, “Hopkins Public Schools believes Mr. Krajewski’s personality, experience, and expertise will be a great fit for our Viking community.”

  • Really too bad they did not hire from within. I hear they had a great applicant. If I was a liberal, I would cry that they did not hire a woman or perhaps a minority. After all, I think they only have one woman serving as a principal. I pray they hired the most qualified.
