Army Bob: Let’s bring back manufacturing to the U.S.

by Robert M. Traxler

Our current President said on Sept 1 that if you voted for President Donald Trump, you are a traitor who does not believe in the Constitution, you want to overthrow our democracy (he most likely meant Republic, later did say Republic) and are against the rule of law.

The President also said on an earlier occasion that those of us who voted for President Trump are semi-fascists. Really? Does he and the hallelujah corner who make up the media even know what fascists were? Do they even care?

German Fascists were the Nazis, Nazi is an acronym for National SOCIALIST German Workers Party, Nationalsoziallstische Deutsche Arbeiterpartei, later shortened to drop the word “workers” as it sounded too communist. They were confirmed socialists who broke from tradition, as they allowed limited private property, nationalism and some approved religion.

To all of those who are so full of hate that they call folks like me a fascist, who hate people who disagree with them, and call 73,000,000 Americans racists, fascists, sexists, homophobes, islamophobes and a lot more awful names: grow up, stop the temper tantrum and open your minds. People should be allowed to disagree with the progressive national socialist movement in the United States without being vilified.

I have always felt it strange that the supporters of the National Socialist movement in the media cancel disagreement from the right, but do not feel that calling folks like most of us in Martin, Hopkins, Moline, Dorr, and Wayland hateful names is a problem? Do as I say, not do as I do, is the mantra they follow. The double standard is allowed when you own the messaging platforms, or at least 87% of them. Please remember socialism always fails over time and ends in a dictatorship and inhumane treatment of the people.

In his campaign rally disguised as a national speech, President Biden said that those of us who voted for President Trump do not accept the outcome of the last election; apparently, he forgot that former Senator Hillary Clinton maintains to this day the presidency was stolen from her with the help of the Russians. It is a fact in her mind and for the true believers in the National Socialist movement, but proven incorrect. Senator Clinton calling most of the good folks in our area a basketful of deplorables, racists, sexists, homophobes etc., of course that is not hate speech? Go figure.

Referring to most of the good people in our area as akin to a group who murdered millions and subjugated millions, people who starved and burned whole cities, probably the vilest group of people since Genghis Kahn, is not hate speech? Not according to the media and Silicon Valley corporations — it is acceptable, even encouraged and in their minds, totally true.

Outsourcing manufacturing to China, who pollutes more per energy unit than any other large nation (India is increasing rapidly), is fine and ignored by the green folks, who close a manufacturing plant in the United States and pound their chests proclaiming they are saving the world, even though the result is a new plant in China, polluting a lot more. As we all know, American carbon kills, but Chinese carbon/greenhouse gases are acceptable for the environment or ignored by the green folks; go figure.

Army Bob Traxler

President Biden stated the day after his “MAGA Americans are a threat to our nation” speech/campaign rally, that he never said it, and then qualified it. Our President read the speech off a teleprompter and stated more than once that most of the good folks in our area are a serious problem for the nation. It is divide and conquer; he and the progressive/socialists are terrified of a Republican majority, and its oversight and investigative authority after their abuses of power. The media’s collusion with the FBI and CIA leadership in support of the national socialists will come out, and they and their willing accomplices in the media cannot allow that.

Have you noticed the label on products that say designed in the USA, assembled in the USA, or engineered in the USA, and buried later in the label it states, “made in China?” It is scary as hell that our entire lifestyle, electrical grid, fuel distribution, medical drugs/devices, and cyber systems are dependent on Chinese imports.

We need to bring back vital manufacturing to our nation, to secure our nation’s future.  My opinion.

  • Mr. Traxler,

While it is true that our country needs to focus on bringing manufacturing back to the USA, and while it is true that the fossil-fuel polluting that the US does is only a drop in the global pollution bucket, it is untrue that the liberal left is a solidified group of name-callers and haters and socialists.

Just like all people on the right are not semi-fascists nor any of the other horrid names you claim the generalized left calls you, neither are all people on the left hoping to establish a socialist state that will utterly fail over time.

Most of us on both sides tend toward the middle and don’t much open our mouths anymore.

My Pop used to say “if the shoe fits, wear it.”

If the horrid words you focus on hearing, as perhaps aimed at you, bother you as much as your columns indicate, you might ought to heed the words of my dad.

If the words fit, then accept that they apply to you. If they don’t fit, don’t wear them.

Let the hate roll off your back. You’ll experience far more peace if you learn to do that. It’s what I’ve been concentrating on since our former president left office. The inferences you aim at the liberals of the country, the inferences that we are all almost-communists, would make me angry except for the fact that those inferences don’t apply to me.

    If the shoe fits….

    • Now she says,

“Let the hate roll off your back.”

However just a short time ago when President Trump was in office, the hate was rolling off her double standard lips like water. Those pesky facts are getting under your skin……..aren’t they? Hard to have it both ways sweetheart. You might want to practice what you preach!

      Cheers!!

      • Mr. Wilkens,

Perhaps you should pay better attention to what I wrote. I specifically stated that I am working very hard since 45 left office to do exactly what I suggested Mr. Traxler try. The hate I expressed before will, I hope, be a thing of my past.

  • The term Liberal doesn’t appear in the column. President Biden generalized all Republicans in his speech then qualified it the next day. The term left does not appear in the column as you also maintain.
    Thanks for the comment.

    • Mr. Traxler,

That’s all you took from my comment? Perhaps you missed my reference to your columns, plural.

      • Ms. Mandaville,
Your words, “The inferences you aim at the liberals of the country, the inferences that we are all almost-communists, would make me angry except for the fact that those inferences don’t apply to me.” Also, “Let the hate roll off your back. You’ll experience far more peace if you learn to do that.” Then why did you lobby for Mr. DTOM to be canceled? Why do you say abortion is so important we should ignore the Constitution and Bill of Rights? The Bill of Rights that keeps us from becoming a National Socialist State? Do as I say not do as I do? Ms. Mandaville you are as much of a centrist as I am.
        Thanks again for the comment.

        • Robert,

Try to go easy on these folks………..Your beating them with their own words………And they were so quick to cancel DTOM……Such a double standard……

          Cheers!!

        • Oh you must be referring to these pesky facts.

          Governor Whitmer Header
          Dear Michigander,

You’ve probably seen the headlines: the recently passed federal Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) will lower the costs of energy, health care, and prescription drugs and bring manufacturing and supply chain home, creating and protecting millions of good-paying jobs across the nation.

But what does it mean for Michigan? I see the IRA as an opportunity for Michigan to compete for jobs and investment and cement our leadership role in the manufacturing sector.

That’s why this week, I signed an executive directive to ensure we take advantage of all the resources in the IRA – creating and protecting hundreds of thousands of good-paying manufacturing jobs right here in Michigan and strengthening our economy.

With this directive, we will use the IRA to build on our legendary manufacturing heritage, unleash the potential of our people and businesses, and make Michigan even more competitive against other states in the mobility and electrification sectors.

          SK Siltron Ribbon Cutting
I am so proud of the work we have done to bring home a $7 billion investment from GM, building electric vehicles and batteries, and a new facility from high-tech manufacturer SK Siltron bringing the semiconductor supply chain from China to Michigan. Ford announced production of the first-ever fully electric F-150, with a $2 billion investment creating thousands of jobs across plants. LG Energy invested $1.7 billion in Holland and KLA, CSS, Calumet Electronics, and Hemlock Semiconductor Operations have all made major investments throughout the state, helping us create a robust semiconductor supply chain. My new executive directive will build on these efforts.

Together, we can create and protect hundreds of thousands of good-paying jobs here in Michigan, build and retool our factories, surge clean energy production, and do what we do best—put the world on wheels. The IRA’s job-creating investments will build on our economic momentum, keeping unemployment low and growth high.

I will work with anyone and compete with everyone to make sure Michiganders can see and feel the benefits of the IRA. Let’s keep putting Michigan first.

          Sincerely,

          Gretchen Whitmer
          Governor of Michigan
