Army Bob: An unpopular Biden seeks re-election

by Robert M. Traxler

Ken Trans  wrote in USA Today, “Ahead of the 2024 election and after formally announcing his re-election bid, President Joe Biden is facing low approval ratings and skepticism about his mental and physical fitness to serve in the White House, according to a Washington Post-ABC News poll released Sunday.

The survey found Biden’s approval ratings have reached a new low point among Post-ABC polls at 36%, similar to a February 2022 poll that found him at 37%. On the other hand, 56% of respondents disapproved of Biden.

And just a third of Americans believe Biden has the mental acuity to serve as president, with 32% of respondents saying Biden has the “mental sharpness it takes to serve effectively as president.” Only 33% of respondents think Biden is also physically fit to serve.

After announcing his re-election bid, Biden, who is 80 and would be 82 at the start of his second term if re-elected, has dismissed concerns about his age in the coming election.

Fear that the progressive/socialist party will lose the next election is prompting their willing accomplices in the media, as predicted, to question border security and inflation, two subjects the mainstream media has ignored for years. The progressive media has amnesia when it comes to Mr. Robert Hunter Biden, his child support hearings, his tax problems, and the existence of numerous Limited Liability Corporations used to launder millions from the Peoples’ Republic of China, the Russian Federation, Ukraine and others.

Polls at this point are not important, but what is, is that the Washington Post and ABC News are publishing polls that do not paint our President in a positive light. The old saying is that figures do not lie, but liars figure, and it has been apparent going on three years now. During training, criminal investigators are schooled to avoid “leading questions.” How a question is asked can dictate answers; the standard caution is asking questions like, when did you stop beating your wife? Pollsters can craft questions to get the results they want, and it appears they want President Biden painted in a dim light.

The Democrats will drop President Biden in the same manner Republicans dropped President Nixon if they feel he will lose to President Trump or any other Republican in the 2024 general election.

The promised “Bombshell” that Representative James Comer of Kentucky, Chairman of the House Oversight and Accountability Committee, has promised on May 10 may or may not be earth shaking, as we discovered when the then Democrat Chairman Adam Shiff promised conclusive “bombshell” proof about President Trump, which never materialized.

At the date of submission of this column to the editor, Mr. Comer had not announced the results. I will be surprised if it amounts to much more than what we know currently about the Biden family’s “business dealings”. The real question is, how will the media play the story: as not much, or as an important story?

If the media feels the need to see a new progressive/socialist candidate who is more electable than President Biden, they may play it up, if not down, time will tell. My Opinion.

I am most concerned of the “32% of respondents saying Biden has the “mental sharpness it takes to serve effectively as president.”

    Yikes! Who are these people?!?

As long as Joe Biden doesn’t die, he will beat trump by even more votes (8-10M) than last time. Even a damp crusty moldy musty old baseball glove would beat trump by that margin. Commenting so we can all check back in 18 months and see how right I was again.
