Wayland High School band director Kelli Tilley Smith this morning announced that the Wayland Union Education Foundation awarded the music program $3,610 as a match from band members and parents to buy new instruments for the ensemble for performances. The money will be used to purchase a synthetic marimba and a synthetic xylophone.
