Gun Lake Tribe to host e-recycling event Oct. 13

A public e-waste recycling event will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 13, at the Gun Lake Government Campus, Public Works Parking Lot, 2848 Mno Bmadzewen Drive, Shelbyville.

The event, sponsored by the Gun Lake Tribe, will take in old electronic devices and materials. Valley City Electronic Electronics Recycling will dispose of the but will not have them shipped to any landfills.

Acceptable for dropoff are office and household electronics, cell phones, radios, microwaves, VCRs, TVs, computers, laptops, monitors, keyboard, mice, printers, speakers and power cords. All computer hard drives will be erased or destroyed by Valley City Recycling.
