Hopkins Athletic Hall of Fame Induction Saturday night

The second group of inductees into the Hopkins High School Athletic Hall of Fame has been announced and they will be honored at a special dinner and ceremony Saturday night, Sept. 16, at Hopkins High School.

The newest four members of the select group are retired football coach Rex Weaver, community boosters Dennis and Judy Kennedy, basketball player and coach Tracy Hazen Iciek and members of the 1999 football team that was state runner-up.

The selectees will be honored at halftime of the Hopkins varsity football game at home Friday, Sept. 15, against Wyoming Godwin Heights. They also will be honored at a special buffet dinner at 6 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 16, and the high school cafeteria with an individual cost of $20. The induction ceremony will follow at 7 p.m.
