Quilting Bee planned for Feb. 4 at United Church

Wayland Community Quilters will have a sort of modern-day quilting bee from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 4, at the United Church of Wayland, 411 E. Superior St.

Organizers Gail Hollinger and Nancy Whitley said the goal is to create quilts for Wings of Hope Home Hospice. The group is looking for donations of 100% cotton fabric or cash to cover expenses.

Quilters intend to sew quilts with fabric and machines at the church during the day.
