Travelogue on Madagascar to be shown Sept. 29

A travelogue film by award-winning director, Marlin Darrah  will be shown at 7 p.m. Friday Sept. 29 at the Wayland High School Fine Arts Center.

The two-hour film will feature the island of Madagascar with exotic wildlife and rich history, exploring the fascinating cultures and geography of this island nation.

Darrah is executive director and cinematographer of the Portland, Oregon-based Production Company, International Film & Video. His 34 years of production experience have taken him to more than 140 countries worldwide, yielding more than 70 documentary and travel-adventure programs to date.

PBS, the History Channel, Discovery Channel and other networks have aired Darrah’s international footage or programs.  Recently, a two-hour documentary he shot and directed in Egypt was screened at the Cairo Opera House to an audience of 3,000 guests.
