United Church of Wayland Taize service will be Sept. 11

As a service of remembrance and prayer, the United Church of Wayland will offer a Taize service for the community at 7 p.m. Monday, Sept. 11, at the church, 411. E Superior, Wayland.

This will be an evening of prayer and meditation with special prayers to commemorate the anniversary of 9/11, praying for victims of terror and violence and for peace in the world. You will have the opportunity to light candles in memory of loved ones lost or as a sign of peace, and sing in an otherwise quiet and contemplative setting.
