DESCRIPTION:A distribution of free food for the needy will be conducted Friday\, April 17\, beginning at 4:30 p.m. at the United Church of Wayland parking lot at 411 E. Superior St. \nThe distribution\, sponsored by Wayland Area Ministries\, will include enough food to feed roughly 100 families for three to four days. The types of food available will be fresh fruits and vegetables\, milk\, yogurt and other dairy products\, breads and other baked goods. \nWayland Area Ministries is a joint effort of a group of religious and charitable organizations in the local community — St. Therese of Lisieux Roman Catholic Church\, United Church of Wayland\, Wayland Area Christian Neighbors Food Pantry\, Inc.\, Sts. Cyril & Methodius\, the Wayland Christian Reformed Church and the Wayland United Methodist Church. \nThe food is provided by Feeding America of West Michigan. \nAnyone who has any questions or who would like to volunteer to help may call (269) 792-2155.
