Fire destroys manufactured home in Monterey Twp.

The Hopkins Area Fire Department was summoned to a manufactured house fire Friday morning in Monterey Township. Authorities said the house was fully involved when firefighters arrived on the scene and it was a total loss. Occupants of the home, including two children, escaped  to a neighbor’s dwelling and the children had to be hospitalized. Allegan Fire District, Salem Fire Department and Wayland Area Emergency Services provided assistance.
