Golf scramble proceeds to aid boy fighting leukemia

“Divots for Daws11183464_538027373015155_5332718285840420664_non,” a golf scramble to help raise funds to defray costs of treatment for 5-year-old Dawson Babiak will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 12, at the Yankee Springs Golf Course.

Dawson, son of Wayland teacher Alison Babiak and Hopkins teacher Jason Babiak, is a 5 year old boy bravely battling Leukemia (ALL).  The cost is $60 per golfer, and you will need a foursome.

“It will be a scramble, so you do not need to be a ‘golfer’ to participate,” a spokesperson for the event said. “There will also be prizes, food at the turn and after golf, 50/50, etc. We are also looking for hole sponsors. It’s $100 to sponsor a hole.”

  1. Awesome! I am going to run this by the people in charge and see if they can sponsor a hole.
