The Hopkins Area Fire Department responded to a working house fire at about 9:30 p.m. Tuesday in Monterey Township. Authorities said the fire was quickly knocked down with minimal damage and there were no inuries as a result of the incident. The Allegan Fire District, Salem Township Fire Department and Wayland Area EMS provided assistance.
