Former Hopkins High School star Kennedy Helderop is a starting guard for the Cornerstone University women’s basketball team this season.
Helderop is averaging just under six points a game as a redshirt freshman. She played in six games in 2019-20, but was sidelined by a torn ACL and returned to the team last fall.
While in high school she was a three-year starter and led the Lady Vikings to an O-K Silver Conference championship and she was named academic all-state.
