Youthful thespian’s dreams of local theater are halted

Nathan Savinsky

Nathan Savinsky’s dream of starting up a local theater group have come to an end almost as quickly as they started.

Savinsky proposed local thespians form the Lumberton Company to produce theater programs in Wayland as an amateur troupe. However, response has been less than encouraging.

Savinsky posted today on Facebook, “Hey everyone. For the time being it looks like we are unable to move forward with our plans as a theatre company. The idea is not completely abandoned and if the opportunity presents itself to where we can continue will let you all know.

“Thank you for support and your understanding at this time.”

Savinsky is a Wayland High School graduate and earned a bachelor’s degree in a theater-related field from Western Michigan University.
