Emily King, Sara Schipper, Torryn Harris, and Veyda Conley captured first place in the race in 10:17.40, almost five seconds faster than all competitors and more than 16 seconds faster than the school record.
The Clippers picked up 44 points in in the 13-team field to finish fifth. The Martin boys scored eight points and finished 12th.
Conley, only a freshman, also qualified for the state meet June 1 by taking third in the 3200-meter run with a time of 12:19.57.
There were other scoring efforts.
finishing fourth in the 400-meter relay relay in 54.74 seconds were , Ellyse Blackburn, Sara Schipper, Emily King and Torryn Harris. The 1600-meter relay quartet was fourth in 4:28.23 with Ellyse Blackburn, Sara Schipper, Emily King and Torryn Harris.
Conley fourth in the open 1600-meter run in 5:35.
Makala Goddard was seventh in the 300-meter hurdles. Blackburn tied for sixth in the high jump. King was sixth in the long jump.
For the guys, Logan Kent finished eighth in the 110-meter high hurdles. Gavin Meyers placed fourth in the 300-meter hurdles. And Elliot Long was seventh in the shot put.
