Don’t be alarmed if you see
zombies running behind the middle school this Friday! They’re really students from Wayland Middle School and Pine Street Elementary participating in the first Zombie Fun Run.
The WMS Parent Advisory Committee and the Pine Street Family Association are putting on the one mile walk/run to raise money for the parent organizations. Students were asked to collect a minimum of $25 in donations in order to dress like a zombie. For each additional $25 donated students will be entered to win prizes valued at $100 each.
The money raised will pay for “extras” for students such as intramurals and the eighth grade banquet.
The run/walk will be held on Friday, Oct. 30, and start at 9:15 a.m. behind the middle school. Students will follow the cross country course/trail in the woods next to the school.
