Construction work on 133rd Avenue and South Main at the south edge of town will begin Friday, Aug. 11, or Monday, Aug. 14.
A spokesperson for the City of Wayland said the north half of the intersection will be closed. No traffic from the north will be able to come southbound. All traffic will be forced to use the detour route.
An emergency route for southbound traffic will available for EMS, fire and police. One lane will be open for east/west traffic on 133rd.
