Cheryl Atkinson, age 77, died Friday, Nov. 12.
Cheryl loved to cook. She had an open door policy to her entire neighborhood. She enjoyed watching her family play sports.
She is survived by her children Claudette (Bob) Hustosky, Claude (Cindy) Wierckz, Bernie (Julie) Wierckz, Dan (Lori) Wierckz, Bob (Michelle Klunder) Wierckz, Bill (Christina) Wierckz, and John (Lisa) Wierckz; 20 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; many nieces, nephews, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Atkinson; parents Joseph and Irene Idziak, and sister, Judy Brown.
Visitation with Cheryl’s family and friends will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Nov. 15, at Kubiak Cook Funeral Home, 4330 18th St., Dorr. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 16, with one hour of visitation prior at the funeral home. Interment will be at Dorr Cemetery.
In honor of Cheryl, memorial contributions may be made to Wings of Hope Hospice.
