Service set Wednesday for Ronald Bouwman, 61

Ronald Henry Bouman, age 61, of Wayland, died Friday evening, Nov. 5.

He is survived  by his wife of 41 years, Sue; his children, Luke R. (Vanessa) Bouman, Jeffrey (Meigen) Bouman, Erin (Nick) Berens, Ian (Nicole) Bouman; his grandchildren, who were the light of their Papa’s life, Ashlynne, Kimber, Leahbeth, Judah, Evangeline, and Baby Bouman; Alaina, Leeland, Caroline, and Calvin Berens; Carson, Cora, and Callie Bouman; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, George and Beverly Eckhoff; his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Steve (Trish) Eckhoff, Tim (Stacie) Campbell-Eckhoff, Jennifer (Matt) Brazys; and four nephews.

Ron was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Wilma Bouman, and his sister, Cindy Bouman.

Visitation will be held at Stroo Funeral Home from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 9. The funeral, officiated by Pastor John Terrell of Living Hope OPC, will be held at 11 p.m. Wednesday at Dutton United Reformed Church, 6950 Hanna Lake Ave. SE,

There will also be a visitation prior to the service at church from 10 to 10:45 a.m. Interment will take place in Hooker Cemetery, Leighton Township.

Memorial contributions may be made to Faith Hospice, Right to Life of Michigan, or to the Building Fund of Living Hope Orthodox Presbyterian Church (payable to Harvest OPC).
