Shawn Christine Wise, age 65, died Wednesday, Jan. 25, at her home in Wayland after  a long battle with Alzheimer’s Disease.

Shawn was a registered nurse for many years, and enjoyed gardening, camping and her draft horses.

Shawn is survived by her husband, Michael Wise; her children, Meegan (Charlie) Zickus, Jacob Pope, Brinn Pope (Jimmi McMurray); step-children, Sarah (Dale) Spencley, Maggie (Raul) Garcia; eight grandchildren; her sister, Tracy Martin; many nieces and nephews; special friends and caregivers, Julee Sabin and Nichole Salski.

She was preceded in death by her father, John Hage; her mother, Geraldine (Doyle) Hage; her father-in-law, Clarence (Turk) Wise; and her brother, Mark Kellogg (Kelly) Hage.

At Shawn’s request, cremation has taken place. Friends and family are welcome to meet for visitation from 1:30 to 2;30 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 29, at United Church of Wayland, 411 E. Superior St., followed by a memorial service at 2:30 with Chaplain Greg Carlson from Wings of Hope Hospice officiating.

In lieu of flowers, all contributions may be made to Wings of Hope Hospice of Allegan.
