The fourth annual Balloonfest overcame problems with inclement weather over the weekend of Friday, Sept. 6, and Saturday, Sept. 7, at Calkins Field (aka Wayland Airport) just north of town on Division Avenue. The temperatures didn’t go above the 60s and high winds prevented the evening lifting of the huge visitors. Still, festivalgoers had a lot of food, fun, live music, games and interesting booths, Capping off the eveniung Saturday was a concert by Phil Vilenski and the popular band Wayland.
