WOOD-TV News 8 this afternoon has reported that the JBS meat packing plant had 60 of its employees test positive for the Coronavirus (COVID-19).

The plant, which employs more than 1,000 people and is located on 11th Street in Gun Plain Township, has reopened today after five dozen tested positive for the virus, said Allegan County Health Department spokesperson Lindsay Maunz. She added that 10 of the employees are residents of Allegan County.

The plant shut down over the weekend but reopened Monday with limited staffing, according to Maunz.

JBS plants process beef and pork products.
