The Wayland junior varsity football team Thursday night put the finishing touches on an undefeated 9-0 season by taking down visiting Hastings 28-24. The coach is Paul Goodwin, grandson of Wayne Goodwin, who coached the Wildcat junior high team for 46 years, along with his sons, Doug (Paul’s father) and Gib (Paul’s uncle). Paul Goodwin also has served as an assistant coach at the varsity level.
