Wayland High School senior Chad Stoepker (No. 50, making a sack last fall with teammate Cody Clewell) will be one of the offensive lineman on Team Stars that will take on Team Stripes in the second annual Axis All-Star football game June 9 at Davenport University. The game, which was created and organized by Lowell football coach Noel Dean, will serve as a fund-raiser for Gilda’s Club of Grand Rapids. John Shillito, who has coached Zeeland West to four state championships, will lead Team Stripes, and Irv Sigler, who coached at Belding and Forest Hills Northern, will guide the Stars.
