Work is progressing on the 
new Dollar General store at the southeast corner of the downtown intersection in the Village of Martin. The store is replacing the old Boysen’s Market, which was closed as a food market under a different name more than a decade ago. The site had sat idle for a long time and Martin school officials came up with an ill-fated idea for a community center about three years ago.
