Agnes “Tootsie” Mary Bame, 90, died Oct. 26.

Due to illness, Agnes spent her final years receiving care at The Laurels of Sandy Creek, in Wayland.  “We were pleasantly surprised when she was able to learn to enjoy her new life there.  She thrived by singing and dancing and eating chocolates!

She is survived by her daughters Donna (Del) Tait, Joyce Bame; her grandchildren Josh Naebeck and Alex Naebeck; her brothers and sisters and their families: Ruth Woodruff, James (Pat) Bogoski; sisters-in-law, Eileen (Peter) Bogoski, Gerald (Carole) Bogoski, and Patricia Bogoski.  She is also survived by her in-laws John Bame, Delbert Bame and Helen Peck and more nieces and nephews and friends than can be mentioned.

She was preceded in death by her husband, David “Pete” Bame; her parents Julius and Rose Bogoski; her brother and sister-in-law, Julius and Margaret Bogoski; brother, Peter Bogoski; sister, Edith Bame and her husband, Gillie, and John Woodruff, husband of her sister, Ruth.

Tootsie’s life will be celebrated at 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 10, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 7771 High St., Maybee, MI 48159.

In memory of Tootsie and in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to The Laurels of Sandy Creek – be sure to mention her name, they’ll know who she is!
