The number of cases of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) in Allegan County rose to 14 in Allegan County as of Sunday night.

State health officials also reported Barry County had six cases and Kent County 65., with three deaths.

Statewide totals were 15,718 cases, up from 14,225 reported Saturday, with 617 deaths, up by 77 from 540 deaths a day earlier.

Health officials recommend citizens stay at home, wash their hands and try to avoid touching their faces. They also recommend practicing social distancing, assuming at all times that anyone may be carrying the virus. Health officials say you should be staying at least six feet away from.

It also recommended that citizens carry hand sanitizer with them and use disinfecting wipes or disinfecting spray cleaners on frequently-touched surfaces in the home (door handles, faucets, countertops) and when visiting places of business.
