Frank Huizenga, loving husband and father, died Monday, April 20, at the age of 82, after a long battle with Alzheimer’s Disease.

Frank was a graduate of Catholic Central High School ’55 and Central Michigan University. He spent the majority of his working years as a partner running Enterprise Tool and Die.

He lived his Catholic faith and often attended Mass on his way to work. He was a member of St. Therese Parish for nearly 50 years. He enjoyed spending time with his family up north at the cottage.

He passed peacefully at home with his wife of 58 years, Rosemary, at his side. He is also survived by sister Judy Cox; children Joe (Carolyn) Huizenga, Scott (Juliet) Huizenga, Steve Huizenga (Kevin Phelps), Amy (Jack) VanOverLoop, Barb (Merle) Shoemaker, Cathy (Scott) Smith, and Rose (Shawn) Longstreet; 14 grandchildren; 3 1/2 great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents Frank and Alta Huizenga; sister Eleanor Huizenga (Fields).

Because of the current health crisis, a private family viewing will be held with interment at St. Stanislaus Cemetery. A memorial Mass and celebration will be held at a later date.

In honor of Frank, memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer’s Association or Emmanuel Hospice.
