The Wayland CoLeisure Life Holiday Luncheon 2014mmunity Education’s Leisure Life program’s second annual holiday luncheon will be held from noon to 3 p.m. Wednesday Dec. 2, at the at the Windsor Woods Village Community Room, 1135 W. Superior St. in Wayland.

The event, for adults at least 55 years old, will feature a free luncheon and a “white elephant gift exchange,” along with musical entertainment.

“We really want thank our local sponsors who make possible this free holiday luncheon possible,” said Penny Salisbury, Leisure Life Programs Coordinator.

Luncheon sponsors include Laurels of Sandy Creek (main entrée and sides); Green Acres of Wayland (dessert); and Kubiak Cook Funeral Services (punch).

Attendees must bring a wrapped gift to exchange which has a suggested minimum value of $10 said Salisbury. The complimentary lunch will include baked ham, au gratin potatoes, broccoli, salad, dinner rolls and a dessert.

The Leisure Life program’s other December event will be “Free Pizza & Free Prize Bingo” sponsored by ITC of Wayland from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 16, at the Wayland Transportation Building, located at 851 Wildcat Drive in Wayland. Special note regarding gaming regulations: Players will receive one free card, but must be 60+ years of age.
