Is gun control about defeating the American Constitution, or is it truly about the government controlling firearms to protect the people from themselves?
The Second Amendment to the Constitution reads, “A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.” At the time written, a militia was all men between 16 and 60 being called to defend their home and community. Let us not kid ourselves — the Second Amendment was demanded before the Constitution could be ratified by the people who lived and suffered under an all-powerful central government, and its mindless autocrats.
The first ten amendments to our sacred document are designed to limit the totalitarian power of a central government, a horror story; it is a brick wall to the leftist/socialist movement in our nation. The impassable barrier that is the Constitution must be torn down to build a collectivist nation; individual rights must be subservient to collective right, “social justice,” whatever in the hell that is, as it dominates over justice and the Constitution.
Ask yourself why the anti-gun, anti-religion, anti-free speech socialist left does not amend the Constitution, a process that has been done 27 times, and repeal the Second Amendment? The answer is it is not about gun control, but people control. To move to a socialist state, the Constitution must be eliminated or judged to be a document that is a broad suggestion, not a law. The path of least resistance is to move the Constitution to an irrelevant historical novelty.
The First Amendment, guaranteeing freedom of speech (with political speech being the most protected) and freedom of religion, is also a stumbling block to the socialist left. Censorship of freedom of speech in social media is allowed and even celebrated by the socialists and leftists to normalize the process of going extra constitutional. Censoring opposition in social media, referred to as the cancel culture, is a carefully choregraphed process designed to blaze a trail to a socialist utopia. The cancel culture used by the anti-constitution authoritarian social media overseers is part and parcel to this process.
Liberation theology is a concept of coupling religion and government to allow millions of God-fearing folks to accept socialism, normally an anti-religious concept. It is a theology the Reverend Jeremiah Alvesta Wright Jr. championed in his church in Chicago with leftist leaders attending, the most notable were the President Barack Obama family, who attended for over two decades. For this movement to take hold, it must relegate the Constitution to the cesspool of history. The founders had enough of a national religion with the Brits and wanted a diverse religious nation, not one that maintained that king and court were chosen by God to lead and could not be questioned by lesser beings.
Do not kid yourselves; the Constitution and its first 10 amendments are a clear and present danger to the socialist movement in our nation. The left can put lipstick on the pig of gun, speech and thought control and call it social justice, but it is still a pig.
The American liberal movement in long past decades were the champions of the Bill of Rights; today they are its worst enemy. Something went terribly wrong, something I thought I would never witness: liberals being the pawns of the leftist/socialist movement and becoming anti-free speech, in the name of some abstract, undefined concept called social justice.
The never expiring oath that my wife, mother, father, father-in-law, mother-in-law, 18 million veterans and I took was to the Constitution, not to socialism, political correctness, “social justice” or the green new deal. No one even knows what “Social Justice/Green New Deal” even means with hundreds of different plans listed.
Who cares? You must mindlessly support it no matter what ever in the hell it actually is, or the cancel culture will come after you hammer and sickle.
Please remember praising billionaires for censoring free speech on social media for profit and lifting trade controls on China is not in keeping with progressive/liberal ideals.
My opinion.
Crap again. Not worth reading. Social justice is social justice.
Mr. Jones,
Sir,
Thank you for the comment.
What a clear definition of social justice.
Ah the usual leftist labeling, ad hominem attacks and complete absence of logical arguments.
There’s a documentary about your vision of America. It’s called Idiocracy.
Mr. MacDougal,
Thanks for the comment. Looked up idiocracy, are you referencing the movie a comedy? a work of fiction?
