OK — China, the world’s number one source of greenhouse gases and growing every day, will not abide by the environmental treaties with the world. This in retaliation for Speaker of the House of Representatives Nancy Pelosi’s trip to the Republic of China or as political correctness calls it, a breakaway province of the People’s Republic of China.

Apparently, they heard that the President of the United States and the Pentagon leadership maintain greenhouse gases are the number one enemy facing our nation. Per our President, and progressives such as Alexandra Ocasio Cortez and environmental corporations/lobby, it is all over. We are all doomed to die in 2030, or at least on an on stoppable cascade into the end of world.

China probably will continue its “punishing the environment” until the world backs off and lets them run roughshod over the rest of the world, but do not despair — we will continue to trade with them, we must. 

China produces 27% to 33% of the entire world’s dreaded greenhouse gases with the blessing of the United Nations and our United States Presidential Envoy for Climate, former Senator John Kerry. China is increasing carbon output every year, allowed to under treaty, treaties the Chinese government will not honor after Speaker Pelosi’s visit to Taiwan. China is responsible for 70.7 billion kgs of plastic being dumped in the oceans (apparently no one told them to recycle?), and the list goes on. 

Western nations have outsourced pollution to China and India. The good folks in the environmental movement can say they are saving the world by cutting our greenhouse gases, banning coal, subsidizing solar and wind, banning some chemicals, pesticides and fertilizers, all the time seeing the totals worldwide drastically increasing.

As Americans see more electric vehicles, China and India are increasing their gas and diesel vehicle production. China is producing 21 million motor vehicles per year and has more vehicles than the United States. China is outproducing the United States by over ten million annually; vehicles in China do not have all the strict pollution control requirements we find in the United States and Western Europe.

Of the top 50 most polluted cities in the world, half are in China and 30 percent in India, not one in the United States? Strange as we are told we are the major source of the world’s environmental problems? Go figure.

If cows pooping and passing gas is pollution that we must stop, why is China dumping 102 billion tons of CO2 not a problem? The truth is that it is indeed a problem and China; corporate interests and the Church of the Environmental Armageddon have come together in a marriage made in nirvana. China grows its economy, embracing limited capitalism, while controlling the world’s supplies of vital medical and manufactured products.

The environmental movement is elated as the United States can increase its environmental restrictions, thus telling themselves they are saving Mother Earth, even though they are responsible for China (with lax environmental laws) increasing the world’s pollution in general and greenhouse gases in particular. The corporations can increase profits while getting the true believers of the environmental church off their backs. What could go wrong?

China’s control of our supplies of antibiotics and other lifesaving medical supplies is an extreme danger, but who cares? The politicians get paid by the corporations, to include the more than 20 environmental corporations, many with over $100 million budgets. The traditional corporations donate to the environmental groups, who pass it to politicians.

The environmental groups get to say they are saving the world, and have the power of the purse to purchase votes of the politicians for even more restrictions in the United States, and push for lax restrictions on China. It’s a win-win for the corporations and green groups and the People’s Republic of China. The pending disaster be damned, as we witnessed during the opening weeks of Covid-19. China withheld protective masks for weeks. What if it had been the long list of life saving drugs and vital repair parts for our power grid and fuel distribution systems? 

The average American will say they are environmentalists. We recycle, purchase environmentally friendly products, we donate to environmental lobby groups, we vote for politicians based on green issues, and all the time we are destroying the environment, making corporations and the green lobby and politicians rich.

Out of sight, out of mind; massive polluting is what we do, we just do it in China. Bring manufacturing back, follow the environmental laws and end China’s strangle hold on our nation. My opinion.
