The body of 58-year-old Michael Pawloski of Caledonia was found Monday in Green Lake in Leighton Township after a two-day search.

Allegan County Sheriff’s office dispatchers reported they were called just after 2 p.m. Saturday. Divers and police and police and fire personnel were summoned to the scene, but they had to halt operations temporarily because of a late afternoon storm.

The search resumed in the evening, but there have been no reports yet that the man has been found. Sheriff’s officers, Kent County dive team, State Police from Wayland post and Leighton Township and Yankee Springs Fire Departments have been on the scene and they used additional sonar technology and underwater cameras.

Pawloski was said to have lived at Green Lake. Information indicated that the victim was swimming off his pontoon when he went under the water.  He was not wearing a life jacket.
