Mark Andrew Brunsink, age 54, of Dorr, died Saturday, Nov. 11. He had been owner of B.C. Pizza of Dorr for the past 12 years.

Mark worked as an engineer for 22 years before pursuing the lifelong dream of owning his own business and working with his wife and children. He opened B.C. Pizza of Dorr in 2005 and often said he was “living the dream.” He enjoyed being with family, the outdoors, working with his hands, snowmobiling, cars, history, telling stories and lifelong learning.

He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Sheryl Brunsink; children, Zachary Brunsink, Abigail (Dan) Dominguez, Joshua Brunsink, and Lydia Brunsink; his grandchildren, Judah and Mathias Dominguez; father, Ronald (Bonnie) Brunsink; brothers, Steve (Debbie) Brunsink, Jaime (Jennifer) Brunsink; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Sally (Jerry) King, Duane (Teresa) Johnson, Gary (Chari) Johnson; 10 nieces and nephews; and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, friends; as well as friends who are like family, including his beloved ResLife Small Group; many employees, past and present, at B.C. Pizza of Dorr, who affectionately refer to him as “Mr. B.”

Mark was preceded in death by his mother, Judith Brunsink; and his parents-in-law, Neal and Shirley Johnson.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 17, at Resurrection Life Church in the ResCenter, 5100 Ivanrest Ave SW, Grandville. Please enter through doors “E” or H.” His son-in-law, Pastor Dan Dominguez, and Pastor Dean Wheeler will be officiating.

Relatives and friends may meet the family Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. at Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW. Interment will be held at Pine Hill Cemetery in Kentwood.
