Newly-elected Sen. Kyrsten Sinema, AZ-D, was sworn in using a law book, one that contained the US Constitution and the AZ Constitution. Another new person was sworn in on the Koran. If you were elected to high office, unlikely as that may or may not be, which book would you choose for the ceremony?

To my loyal readers: It is almost the time of year that I will be hanging out with my marine buddies. No, not my Marine buddies; I usually go to South Carolina for that. Mrs. Basura and I will be enjoying the month of February on Bonaire.
I intend spend some quality time with marine life, lower case m — fish and turtles and corals and crustaceans, etc. I’ve seen dolphins on occasion, and know a whale passed through the channel between Bonaire and Klein Bonaire. I expect I will be able to read TB, but don’t think I’ll be able to write to any degree. I hope there’s no slowdowns with the TSA in Atlanta. Maybe I should bring something to read. . .
