“Let the little children come to me.” Matthew 19:4 — (Judge Roy Moore’s favorite piece of scripture)

Suggestion for President Donald J. Trump: Nominate Roy Moore for the Supreme Court.

While Donald says, “You’re going to get tired of winning,” it’s hard to overlook the fact that whole Roy Moore thing was not a win. Alabama is a notable Red State. Roy Moore was running for the US Senate, to replace Republican Jeff Sessions. Moore won the R primary. And then he got a big endorsement from Trump himself!  You might think that would be enough to send him to the senate. But no. The People of the Great State of Alabama sent the Dem. What were they thinking?

Remember Roy? Many think that the past history of Moore’s pedophilia hampered his chances. But he was never convicted of a crime! Roy “dated” (his term) teen-aged girls, as young as 14, when he was a 28-year-old assistant prosecuting attorney.

Allegations included getting naked with a 14-year-old, and directing her to stimulate his penis with her hand. Did things get “out of hand”? We don’t know.

Roy admitted “dating” young girls. It was known he was prohibited from attending high school events, like football games, and that he was monitored and/or banned from a local shopping mall where teens liked to hang out.  Again, the prosecutor was never prosecuted.

Obviously, Moore has his JD, and served not only as an assistant prosecutor in his career, but also as a judge. Despite being bounced from the bench, twice, he loves to employ the honorific Judge Moore. Wouldn’t he love to be Justice Moore? He had some problems with the violating the constitution in regard establishment of religion, on those two occasions, but that was a long time ago.

It seems safe to say that he would be the reliable conservative vote should he become one of The Supremes. Not like that Anthony Kennedy, who voted as a conservative a mere 80% of the time. Roy would be a predictable 100%er. He might want to recuse himself should the court ever work on matters of pedophilia, but that is unlikely, since those issues are usually handled (no pun intended) at the state level.

And the proposed action would erase the label LOSER, so abhorred by President The Donald. He endorsed the Moore, and Moore lost. The taint remains for both of them. Putting Moore on the Supreme Court would, assuming Senate confirmation, make Moore a winner again, and, by association, Trump.

Make America Great Again!
