Though Blazing Star Solar has not yet presented its plans to build a solar farm in Wayland Township, the company has announced it is accepting applications for its Winter 2026 Community Grant Program.
The grant program, open to nonprofits, community groups, schools, and organizations serving Wayland and Allegan County, is intended to “support groups that work to keep the community strong.”
The Wayland Fire Department, Wayland Wildcats Robotics, and the Allegan Conversation District were some of the groups that received the community grant funds in 2025.
