Robert Leigh Quacusflagkenboss, age 82, of Wayland, affectionately known as “Harmonica Bob” died Tuesday, Jan. 3.
Harmonica Bob went around to local restaurants and nursing homes to entertain folks. He served in the US Navy on the USS The Sullivans in the Korean War. Bob helped train Grand Rapids boxing legends, Roger Mayweather, Floyd Mayweather, Sr., and Tony Tucker. He also coached baseball and softball youth sports
Bob is survived by his children, Shelli (Dan) Kelley, Terry (Pat) Johnston, Cheri (Dick) Snay; his eight grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Verla Mary Quackenboss and his brothers, John, Edward, and Tom Danevicz.
