Brooke Butts, only 34, of Dorr, dies from Wilson’s Disease

photo_20160213_WM0060595_0_20160213Mrs. Brooke Rene Butts of Dorr died after a battle with Wilson’s Disease Thursday, Feb. 11. She was 34.
She battled long and hard after this genetic disease damaged her liver and went undiagnosed until last fall. Two lives were saved because of her generous kidney donations.
Brooke was described as a genuine, kind, fun loving woman. She had a soft spot in her heart for all God’s creatures. She had a flair for adventure in life and loved camping.
Surviving are her husband of 10 years, Joel Butts; children, Kylien Rene, 9 and Leah Jade, 3; mother and father, Denise and Ted Vanderlinde; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Cheri and Greg Butts; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Tricia and Charles Figueroa, Timothy and Louise Nunn, Jamie and Jeremy Berens; 11 nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her cousin, Carrie Anne De Jongh, last June.
A memorial service and celebration of Brooke’s life will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 17, at Pathway Church, 8350 Byron Center Ave SW., Byron Center. Her family will greet relatives and friends  from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Pathway Church in Byron Center
